Information about cityhood efforts in Cobb

Come join us for the first in a series of county Town Halls on the various cityhood efforts that voters will consider in May and November. The first Town Hall  will take place Wednesday, Mar. 9 from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Board of Commissioners meeting room at 100 Cherokee Street, Marietta. Questions can be submitted in advance to CityHoodQuestions@cobbcounty.org.

Cityhood proposals in Cobb County have been moving through the state legislature at unprecedented speed, and Cobb commissioners have been receiving a lot of questions about them. Cobb’s department leaders met to provide answers about what the four cityhood proposals’ impact on the county would be if they pass. That public work session was recorded and can be viewed on Cobb County’s Youtube channel here.

Like many Cobb residents and business owners, you may be wondering what everything means to you. Now you can find facts, maps, and get questions answered about the cityhood proposals on Cobb County’s new resource center. The web pages contain links to hearings at the state capital, feasibility studies, budgets, maps, and more. It will be updated as more information becomes available.
