Dear Resident,
The HOA Pool has been open for 7 weeks.
I would like to share some observations and feedback with you.
I witnessed and got reports about people in the pool area not opening the gate for anyone who did not have the gate code.
This is ABSOLUTELY the right thing to do. It’s what you agreed to when you signed the waiver.
Please ensure that everyone in your household over 18 years old has signed the waiver.
Remember:
No guests are allowed into the pool area.
Do not share the codes with anyone.
DO NOT let others into the pool. If they are authorized, they will have the gate code.
Please be sure to review the updated pool guidelines on the website and posted on the pool gate.

To reduce the risk of spreading or contracting Covid-19 at our pool, we have provided the following guidelines. It is imperative that any residents who decide to use the pool this season follow these guidelines. If we are unable to follow our guidelines that are aligned with published guidelines from the Cobb County Public Health Department, the Georgia Department of Public Health, and the CDC, our HOA Board may be forced to close the pool.
6. Disinfect the bathroom BEFORE and AFTER your family’s use. Protect yourself and your neighbors by cleaning the bathroom before use, including knobs, handles, and bathroom surfaces such as sinks, counters and toilet seat and handle, and clean once again after your family’s use. Residents must supply their own cleaning supplies.
7. Wipe Down Common Areas upon leaving the pool, we are asking residents to be sure to wipe down and clean common, high touch areas. Specifically, the handrails and ladders into the pool, as well as the pool gate. Residents must supply their own cleaning supplies.
We have received reports and observations that rules 6 & 7 are not being adhered to.
Please remember to bring disinfecting wipes to adhere to rules 6 & 7.
We have received no reports of residents failing to use the social distancing rules. Please use the map on the gate and website for suggested use areas.
There have been a few occasions where an adult has left their children at the pool unattended. This is NOT acceptable. Pool rules clearly state:
12. No one under the age of 18 is allowed in pool area unless chaperoned by an adult.
Remember to sign up for a pool time slot from the website on SignUpGenius.
https://www.signupgenius.com/index.cfm?go=s.signup&urlid=904054ca4ad2ca5f58-swimming&view=calendar
When you do sign up, remember to put the number of persons that are attending at that time.
The reason for using SignUpGenius is twofold:
- It shows how many time slots are reserved for a date and time.
- It can be used for Contact Tracing if a resident informs us that they have contracted Covid-19.
There have been too many instances where there are residents at the pool that did not sign up.
The HOA Board agreed to open the pool during this pandemic with the understanding that the guidelines would be followed.
It has been and continues to be a hot summer. The pool is getting used by many residents.
Let’s all abide by the guidelines so we can continue to enjoy this amenity.
Thank you,
Randy Bateman
