Amenities Opening

Dear Resident,

This spring has certainly changed our lives.  With the onset of the pandemic, we’ve learned new phrases such as “Covid-19,” “Shelter-in-Place,” and “Social Distancing.”   We’ve learned what it’s like to wear a face covering. And we long for things to return to a sense of normalcy.

We have seen almost daily updates from our health experts on the recommendations for protecting ourselves from this disease.  Wear a mask…Stay 6 feet away…Minimize group sizes…Stay away from Seniors.

The HOA Board made the responsible decision to close our amenities as a precaution to minimize the risk of spreading Covid-19.  We wanted to wait and see what the latest recommendations and/or requirements of the Governor’s Executive Order were before we moved forward with opening the amenities.

In the meantime, we have been working on developing a plan to open the playground, pool, and tennis courts.  We consulted with neighboring HOAs and shared information, we’ve ordered signage, we’ve measured the pool area to determine how many residents it can hold while staying within the latest guidelines, we’ve generated a tennis court addendum to include special rules for the pandemic, and we’ve worked very hard on putting together a plan for the pool opening to meet the latest health expert recommendations.

Every time the recommendations and/or requirements changed; we updated our plans.

Finally, with the Governor’s recent announcement, we have finalized our plans.

You will be required to sign aWaiver of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement for your household prior to accessing the amenities. This is to protect the HOA in the event someone claims to have caught the Covid-19 virus at our amenities.

Initial waiver signups will be in the clubhouse parking lot Tuesday 6/2/20 to Monday 6/8/20 at two times: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Once the “Waiver of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement” is received, you will be given the new codes to the pool and tennis courts.  (As long as your HOA fees are up to date.)

You will note that the pool has been segmented to identify the recommended “Social Distancing” barrier of at least 6 feet.  We have decided to adopt the Governor’s recommended number of no more than 25 people in a group.  There are more than enough areas to accommodate that number.  The smaller areas are for singles or couples.  Larger areas are for families. Please choose your area with others in mind.

Our playground will open Tuesday June 2, 2020.  There will be a warning sign posted at the gate.

The tennis courts will open Wednesday June 3, 2020.  For questions, contact Tennis Chairperson Peggy Wilson.

The pool will open Saturday June 6, 2020.

Please review the new guidelines for use of the tennis courts and pool.

After a frustrating few months, we are all anxious to enjoy our amenities.

Let’s do so responsibly and safely.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in these difficult times.
