The HOA Board has decided to delay the opening of our Cameron Glen HOA community swimming pool due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.
You may have read or heard that the Governor’s May 12 executive order allowed public pools to open. But further analysis past the headlines reveals that there are many minimum recommendations that come with that order.
Below are a few links if you are interested in learning more about the conditions that must be satisfied at this time to open a public pool.

One of the most daunting measures to follow:
- Employ cleaning and disinfection measures to reduce patron exposure.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces at least daily and shared objects each time they are used. For example:
▪ Handrails, slides, and structures for climbing or playing
▪ Lounge chairs, tabletops, pool noodles, kickboards, and drinking fountains
▪ Door handles and surfaces of restrooms, handwashing stations, diaper changing stations, and showers
We do not have an attendant at our pool to accomplish these recommended measures.
The HOA is unable to guarantee that the necessary conditions can be satisfied to safely open our pool and have therefore decided to delay the pool opening.
I have contacted other communities in our area, and all that I have found are likewise keeping their pools closed for now.
We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you informed as new information becomes available.
