Due to the latest public health guidelines regarding the spread of the COVID-19 virus and rapidly changing protocols as issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), effective Wednesday, March 18, all Cobb County Tax Commissioner’s Offices will be closed to the public until further notice. The Tax Commissioner’s leadership team is currently working to evaluate the best way to serve Cobb County residents. “Right now, our top priority is ensuring we are doing our part in protecting the public and our employees,” said Tax Commissioner Carla Jackson. “We are following the recommendations for social distancing and adjusting the working hours of employees as deemed necessary.” Effective Wednesday, March 18, motor vehicle related penalties will be postponed and/or waived until the following business day when normal operations are resumed.
